The Toni Hurt Memorial Scholarship was established by the Hurt family in 2025 in memory of their mother, wife, grandmother, friend, and mentor. Ms. Hurt was an Austin High School 1963 graduate who was very involved in school activities. After college, she started her education career at Lamar Elementary School, but soon became a counselor at Austin High School. Ms. Hurt became the first female Student Activities Manager at her alma mater, a position she held for more than 20 years! This involvement fostered the growth of many students, impacting many lives throughout their high school and adult years!
