Adrian and Ana Lila both grew up in central El Paso and were high school sweethearts at Austin High (class of 2001). Adrian won the H.B. Fort Memorial Scholarship and Ana Lila won the R.E. McKee Scholarship that same year. Both graduated from the University of Texas (Adrian Class of 2004, Ana Class of 2006).

 

Adrian earned a JD (law degree) from Texas Tech School of Law in 2010. Adrian has worked in the oil and gas business for fifteen years and in 2023 co-Founded and serves as Chief Executive Officer of Desert Gold Oil & Gas which invests in oil and gas properties across the country.

 

Ana earned an interior architecture degree from UT and--while managing a household with four young kids--founded Five Points Consulting in 2023 which provides interior architecture services to clients across the country.

The Adrian and Ana Lila Macias Scholarship is a one-time $5000 scholarship. The recipient must be a first-generation college attendee outside of El Paso.
